The following leagues are available at the Dartmouth Curling Club:
Monday Night Open
Team or Individual entries are welcome with any combination of gender. Draw times rotate weekly from 6:00pm to 8:15pm. Curling experience ranges from beginner, intermediate to senior. There are two divisions, A and B, with many great curlers in each, however the competition level in the A division is generally higher. The first-place team from each division will be recognized by having their names added to our “Wall of Champions”.
So, if you want to try those amazing shots you saw while watching your favorite weekend bonspiel, maybe Monday Night Open is the place for you!
Tuesday Night Ladder
Team or Individual entries are welcome with any combination of gender. Draw times rotate weekly from 6:00pm to 8:15pm. There are two divisions, A and B. The A division is the most competitive evening draw of the week. Often curlers in this division have curled competitively in club and at the provincial level. The B division is a collection of curlers with all levels of experience. Mid year the team from A with the fewest points will move to the B division while the top team in B will move to the A division. Teams will keep their accumulated points. The first-place team from each division will have their names added to the “Wall of Champions”
If you want to climb your way to the top Tuesday Evening Ladder is the league for you!
Wednesday Night Doubles
Any gender combination. Draw times rotate between 6:00pm and 7:45pm, with every effort being made to balance early and late games throughout the season. 8 ends of doubles can be played in an hour and a half.
Don’t want to hop up and sweep your own stone? Don’t worry picking a target and having a sweeper is a common approach!
The first-place team will be recognized by having their names added to our “Wall of Champions”.
If you are looking for a great way to improve your draw weight and develop new curling strategies and get in on a new league, then the Wednesday Night Doubles is the league for you!
Thursday Night Open

Paul Culligan Friday Night Pizza (SUBJECT TO AVALABILITY)
Individual, or pair entries* are welcome with any combination of gender. There is one draw on Friday evenings at 6:00pm. Curling experience ranges from beginner, intermediate to seasoned. The league is intended to be social, so an effort is made to balance teams. The first place will be recognized by having their names added to our “Wall of Champions”.
At the beginning of the season, the Friday Evening coordinator collects money from all participants, at the end of each game a slice of pizza will be waiting for you upstairs.
If you are looking for a fun social way to kick start your weekend, then the Paul Culligan Pizza League is for you.

S.A.T.A.M (Men's)
Teams are formed each week by the SATAM Coordinator, based on those members who sign up that week, and their preferred position. There is a single daw on Saturday Morning at 10:00am. Points are accumulated individually for games and ends won each week according to the position they are playing, resulting in an All-Star Team at the end of the season. The All-Star Team will be added to the SATAM Plaque. Participation is limited to 40 players each Saturday.
If you want to play some Saturday’s but can’t commit to all season, this might be the league you are looking for.
TUESDAY WOMEN'S DIVISION LAURA MORASH TROPHY PLAY (FALL)
Individual entry, teams will be made up by the Women’s Home Games Committee based on position preference. Draw time is 9:30am to be finished by 11:30am. Competition level ranges from novice to experienced curlers. The winners will be added to the fall (October to December)/winter (January to March/April) trophy.

WEDNESDAY WOMEN'S DIVISION WEBBER TROPHY PLAY (FALL)

Competition level ranges from novice to experienced curlers. The winners will be added to the fall (October to December)/winter (January to March/April) trophy.

THURSDAY WOMEN'S DIVISION GUILDFORD TROPHY PLAY
Team Entry. Draw time is 9:30am to be finished by 11:30am. Thursday morning is considered the most competitive league for the Day Women. This league runs for the duration of the curling season, October to March/April. The winners have their names added to the Guildford Trophy.
If you are looking for a more competitive experience, try the Thursday Morning Day Women.
FRIDAY WOMEN'S DIVISION DEMINGS TROPHY PLAY (FALL)

Cole Harbour Sunday Rental
The Cole Harbour Sunday Rental League has been in existence since 1998. It started as a small group from the Colby Subdivision and then grew broader in area until it now has players from all over the city. It is comprised of all levels of curlers from beginner to experienced full DCC club members, with a focus on recreational fun.
The league plays from 2:15pm to 4:15pm on Sunday afternoons and the season begins the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. To promote social interaction and team balance, new teams are selected in the Fall and again after the holiday break. Skips are required to select players that did not curl together the previous session ensuring a constant mix of team members and skill rebalancing. Team prizes are awarded to the top three teams of each session at our Christmas and end of season gatherings.

Monday Women's Stick Division-Corrine Burbine Trophy Play (Fall)
Two person teams made up by the Women’s Home Games Committee based on position preference. Draw time is 9:30am to be finished by 11:30am. Competition levels range from novice to experienced stick curlers. The winners will be added to the fall (October to December)/winter (January to March/April) trophy.

Day Men Monday
Individual entry, teams will be made up by the Monday Day Men’s Coordinator based on skill level and position preference. Teams are divided into two divisions and draw times rotate on Monday Afternoons at 12:30pm and 2:45pm. Winners of the Fall Session (October to December) will have their names added to the Ray Currie Trophy and Winners of the Winter Session (January to March/April) will have their names added to the Jake Creighton Trophy.

Day Men Wednesday
Team entry. Draw times rotate each week on Wednesday afternoons at 12:15pm and 2:30pm. Teams are assigned to either the Suddard Division or the Penny Division at the start of the season and compete for points to determine the overall winners at the end of the season. There is a $100/team entry fee for this league.
If you are looking to play a little more competitively maybe this is the league for you.
Day Men Thursday
Individual entry, teams will be made up by the Thursday Day Men’s Coordinator based on skill level and position preference. Teams are divided into two divisions (A and B) and draw times rotate on Thursday Afternoons at 12:30pm and 2:45pm. The winners of the A division will have their names added to the Hemswoth Trophy while the winners of the B division will be added to the Canal Street Kids Trophy.

Brightwood Rental League
The Brightwood Curling League has been active at DCC for over 50 years. The league is comprised of Brightwood Golf club members, DCC members and curlers not affiliated with either club. Teams are created by the Brightwood Curling League coordinator, and all genders are welcome. The Brightwood Curling League plays on Saturday afternoons at 12:15pm from November to March. Curling experience ranges from beginners to seasoned. This is a rental league, but many new curlers from the Brightwood league have gone on to be members of the DCC.
You do not have to be a member of Brightwood to participate. If you are looking for something to do on Saturday afternoon, and meet some new people, the Brightwood Curling League might be the place for you.
Tuesday Afternoon Mixed
Individual entries via signup sheet, mixed teams. Draw time is 1:00pm. 5 player teams with rotating byes. Competition levels range from novice to experienced curlers. The winners of the Fall Session will have their names added to the Clarke Trophy, winners of the Winter Session will have their names added to the Kiwanis Trophy.
If you are looking for a way to mix it up, maybe Tuesday Daytime Mixed is for you!
Friday Night Social League (Rental)
The Friday Night Social League is a relaxed fun night of curling open to anyone new or experienced. We curl Friday evenings from 8:15 to 10:15pm and then meet upstairs for refreshments and conversation.
The season runs from October to March. A schedule and list of teams are sent out in October. More experienced curlers are happy to guide/assist new curlers if needed. There are brooms and sliders available to borrow at the club.
Fees for ice time are determined by the club and payment for the season is due in October.

Dartmouth Teachers/Halifax Transit Curling League (Rental)
For many years this league was the Dartmouth Teachers until more members were needed and Metro Transit agreed to join. To be a member of this league it is not necessary to be a teacher or work with Halifax Transit. Teams are created by the League coordinator; all genders are welcome.
The Dartmouth Teachers/Halifax Transit Curling League play on most Saturday afternoons at 4:30pm from mid-October until approx. April 1st. Curling experience is not necessary, the league hosts players with experience from beginner to seasoned, this is a social league. We have a regular season plus the last three weeks of the season are playoffs followed by The season ends with an Awards Banquet.
If you are looking for a social way to curl and spend your Saturday afternoons the Dartmouth Teachers/Halifax Transit Curling League might be the right spot for you.
