Leagues

The following leagues are available at the Dartmouth Curling Club:


League Format: Individual entry. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions. Two person teams will be formed each session by the Women's Home Games Committee based on stick curling experience.  

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced stick curlers

Draw Time: 9:20am

Fall Session: Teams play for the Corrine Burbine Trophy

Winter Session: Teams play for the Joyce MacLean Trophy

League Format: Individual entry. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions. Teams will be formed into two sections (A & B) each session by the Monday Day Men's Coordinator based on skill and position preference. 

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Times: 12:00pm & 2:15pm, rotating weekly

Section A: Teams play for the Rye Currie Trophy in both fall and winter sessions

Section B: Teams play for the Jake Creighton Trophy in both fall and winter sessions

Entry Format: Team or individual entries of any gender

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Times: 6:00pm and 8:30pm, rotating weekly

Divisions: A (more competitive) & B

League Format: Individual entry. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions. Teams will be formed each session by the Women's Home Games Committee based on skill and position preference.

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Times: 9:20am

League Format: Individual entry. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions. Five person mixed teams will be formed with rotating byes.  

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Time: 1:00pm (Start time may change to 12:30 to accommodate a learn-to-curl program)

Fall Session: Teams play for the Clarke Trophy

Winter Session: Teams play for the Kiwanis Trophy 

Entry Format: Team or individual entries of any gender

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Times: 6:00pm and 8:30pm, rotating weekly

Divisions: A (more competitive) & B. Mid season the A division team with the least amount of points will move to B division. The B division team with the highest points will move up to A division. Teams will keep their accumulated points for the entire season.

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Times: 9:20am

 

 

 

League Format: Team entry. Individual entry. Maximum 20 teams, 10 each assigned to either Suddard or Penny Division. Teams are assigned to one of the two divisions based on previous season standings and compete for points until the end of the season. Teams are shuffled between divisions at the end of the Fall Session

Entry Fee: $100 / Team for this league (above your regular membership)

Draw Times: 12:00pm & 2:15, rotating weekly

 

League Format: Two person teams, but any gender combination is allowed.  Team entry is preferred, but individual entry may be accommodated.

League Format: Team entry. The league runs all season from October to March. Teams play an initial round robin then are divided into two sections for a final round robin. Participants are competing for the Guildford Trophy.

League Format: Individual entry. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions. Teams will be formed into "A" and "B" Divisions each session by the Thursday Day Men's Coordinator based on skill and position preference.

A Division: Teams play for the Hemsworth Trophy

B Division: Teams play for the Canal Street Kids Trophy

Draw Time: 6:00pm

Paul Culligan Pizza League - This is social league where an attempt is made to balance teams based on skill and position preference. At the beginning of season the Friday Evening coordinator collects money from all participants who wish to take part in the social aspect where a slice of pizza is provided to enjoy while socializing with your team and opponents.

League Format: Individual or Team Entry. Teams will be formed weekly in an attempt for curlers to grow and meet fellow members. 

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Time: 8:30pm with the plan to end at 9:30pm, enough time for (6) ends of curling.

Credit: This league provides a membership fee credit of $40 upon registration. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Entry Format: Individual entry. Light rocks

Target Curlers: Ages 5-10

Draw Time: 7:45am - 9:15am

League Format: Individual entry. Teams are formed weekly by the SATAM Coordinator based on weekly sign-up and their preferred position. Each week points are accumulated individually for games and ends won according to the position they are playing. These points result in a year end All-Star team which will be added to the SATAM plaque. This league is limited to 40 players weekly.

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced

Draw Time: 10:00am 

League Format: Individual entry. Teams are created by the Brightwood Curling League coordinator. This league is open to any gender and members of Brightwood Golf Club, DCC and any curler not affiliated with either club. Registration includes both fall and winter sessions.

Non-Members: The fee per game is $20.00 ($17.39 + HST)

Entry Format: Individual

Target Curlers: Ages 11-20

Draw Time: 2:30pm - 4:30pm

League Format: Individual entry. Teams are created by the league coordinator. This league is open to any gender. This is now a combination of both Dartmouth Teachers and Halifax Metro Transit, however it is not necessary to be a teacher or work with Halifax Transit. There is a regular season plus the last three weeks are designated for the playoffs. The season completes with the awards banquet.

Draw Time: 4:30pm Mid October - Early April 

Dartmouth Members: Choose this as one of your leagues

Non-Members: The fee per game is $20.00 ($17.39 + HST)

League Format: Individual entry. To promote social interaction and team balance, new teams are selected for the fall session and then again for the winter session. Skips are required to select players that did not play together in the previous session. Team prizes are awarded to the top three teams of each session. There will be two social gatherings at the end of the fall session and then again at the end of the winter session. 

Target Curlers: Novice to experienced 

Draw Time: 1:30pm October - March  Time may be shifted to 1:15pm to accomodate a new rental league later Sunday afternoon.

Dartmouth Members: Choose this as one of your leagues.  An additional fee of $70 is charged by this league to cover dinners and prizes.

Non-Members: The fee per game is $20.00 ($17.39 + HST)
