Kick off your Holiday Season with the Day Men's Holiday Fun Spiel. There will be two Draws of 4-Ends. Followed up with a 50/50, dinner, announcements, awards and prizes. 

Event Date -  Thursday December 19th, 2024

Draw Times -  12:00 and 1:15pm (Two 4-End Games) 

Extras -  Each end will have a unique feature which will be announced at the spiel

Closing Registration -  December 12th unless the max of 80 Participants is reached

Cancellation - Anyone who cancels after December 12th and was attending the meal will not be refunded

Dartmouth Curling Club will be hosting its Club Championship Qualifying event December 20th - 222nd. This event will determine our club representatives for the upcoming Provincial Curling Club Championships. The Men's Provincial Playdowns will be March 5-9th at the Lakeshore Curling Club and the Women's Provincial Playdowns will be March 20-23rd at the Digby Curling Club.

• There will be a $150.00 entry fee per team. This entry fee will be pooled between all divisions and paid out to cover Provincial Entry fee costs ($500/team) as per below:

• First place Team in Men and Women's will receive $500 each if the pooled amount allows. Any remaining funds will be split evenly between the allotted team entries. 
• Example

• 7 Men's Teams = $1050.00
• 5 Women's Teams = $750.00
• Total Pooled Money = $1800.00
• $500 each to the first place teams ($1000)
• Remaining $800 would be split between 2nd place teams. If the club is granted a third spot, this remaining $800 will be divided amongst any teams going to provincials.

• If the registration does not cover the full amount for each team, the total funds will be split equally and distributed to the first place teams. 
• Example 

• 4 Men's Teams = $600.00 
• 2 Women's Teams - $300.00 
• Total Pooled money is $900 this would be split $450 to each first place team only.

• DCC will be adopting the Self-Seeding Process as outlined in the NS Curl Competitor Guide (Competition Rules | Nova Scotia Curling Association (nscurl.com). Teams will be provided the details on this November 25th, 2024 and the Deadline to return the information will be Wednesday November 27th.

• DCC will be following Draw options outlined in the Competitors Guide, in the event we do not have a number that matches the formats provided there will be consultation with NS Curl to determine the best format. This will be identified once registration is closed (November 15th). Teams may play a maximum of three (3) eight (8) end games per day for a maximum of two (2) days.

• The Official Draw will be provided to the team contact 2 Weeks prior to the start of the event.

DCC is proud to bring you its first annual Cash Spiel. We are offering this event for teams following the Tier 2 or 3 competion stream as outlined in the NSCA Competition Calendar. 

We are excited to bring you a weekend full of great curling, and fun. We currently have 11 Teams and are capping the event at 12. 

DATES - January 24-26th, 2025

LOCATION - Dartmouth Curling Club (35 Canal Street, Dartmouth NS)

GAMES - 3 - 8 End Games Guaranteed

FORMAT - To be finalized as the planning continues.

ENTRY FEE - $400 

• DUE NOVEMBER 1st

• Withdraw prior to December 31st and receive full refund
• Cancellation Policy - If you have to withdraw after January 1st 2025 your entry fee refund will be pending the availability of a replacement team. If we are unable to fill the spot you will be refunded 50% of your entry fee ($200)

CASH PRIZES - To be finalized when draw is completed the first week of January 2025

EXTRAS - We are in early planning but you can expect some great hospitality throughout the weekend. We are looking forward to hosting your teams at our club!
